Ben Newton
Operational Director

Ben has been working as a vacuum forming specialist since 1991 and is among the most experienced vacuum forming specialists in the world, working with various production methods and machines.

At Modplas, Ben heads the business management team ensuring orders are received and delivered on schedule. He works closely with customers to guide them through design processes to provide the best possible materials from around the world required to optimize the cost and quality of each specific job.

Once jobs become operational, he will liaise with procurement teams, scheduling production runs and maintaining stock levels to keep your business and production lines running smoothly.

Steve Rowell
Design and Machinery Director

Steve has a vast background and experience in design / engineering and manufacturing. His key expertise is in, but not limited to: CAD / CAM design, Mechanical, Metal Fabrication, Aerospace Composites, Tool / Pattern making, Plastics, Robotics and CNC machine operation.

Steve is the lead designer at Modplas, working closely with customers and their design teams or assembly lines to work through rough concepts, refining them to optimised professional CAD designs that make for efficiently manufactured bespoke parts to suit the customer’s application.

Steve personally programs each machine at Modplas and constructs all the tooling required to produce any products made, ranging from machining for patterns and tooling, to programming multi-axis trimming. This allows us to ensure tight quality control of our production runs, while also providing customers with the fastest time to market for new products and the most cost-effective tooling setups.
